Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect account details such as username, display name, email, password hash, avatar, banner image, bio, role, verification status, blocked users, followers, following, online status, last seen time, and timestamps.

We also store content and activity needed to run the platform, including posts, comments, likes, follows, notifications, conversations, group chats, message reactions, read receipts, uploaded images, session records, IP address, user agent, password reset tokens, and MFA state.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to create accounts, authenticate users, display profiles, deliver posts and messages, operate groups, prevent abuse, secure sessions, process password resets, send service emails, maintain logs, respond to reports, enforce rules, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Passwords, MFA, and Security

Passwords are hashed with bcrypt and are not stored in plain text. Sessions are stored in MongoDB. Production cookies are configured for HTTPS. MFA secrets and backup codes are security-sensitive and should be protected by you. No online service can guarantee perfect security.

4. Uploads and Messages

Uploaded images are stored locally in the application upload folder and records are stored in MongoDB Atlas. Messages and groups are private to participants in normal use, but they are not end-to-end encrypted. The site owner may access records when needed for security, abuse review, legal compliance, debugging, or service operation.

5. Sharing and Legal Requests

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with infrastructure providers, email providers, MongoDB Atlas, hosting providers, law enforcement, courts, regulators, or safety organizations when needed to operate the service, investigate abuse, respond to legal process, protect users, or report apparent child sexual exploitation.

6. Children and Age Restrictions

Suicixde is not intended for children and does not knowingly allow users under 18. If you believe a minor created an account, contact us so we can review and remove the account where appropriate. Do not upload content involving minors in sexual, exploitative, abusive, or unsafe contexts.

7. Retention

We keep account, content, upload, session, and security records as long as needed to operate the platform, comply with law, resolve disputes, preserve safety evidence, enforce rules, and maintain backups. Deleted content may remain in backups or logs for a limited period.

8. Your Choices

You can update profile details in Settings, change your password, configure MFA, delete your own posts and comments, leave groups, block users, and request account or privacy help through Contact. Some records may be retained where needed for security, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.

9. International Users

Suicixde is hosted for the owner’s community and may process information in the United States or other locations used by hosting, database, and email providers. If regional online safety or privacy laws require additional controls, access or features may be restricted while those obligations are reviewed.

10. Contact

Use the Contact page for privacy requests, security concerns, or safety reports. Do not submit illegal content as an attachment or copied material.
